How is the genetic blueprint that makes you who you are transmitted faithfully from one cell to the next?

Every cell in the human body contains the same ganetic information. The genetic codes for the cells can be found in the DNA or DeoxyRibonucleic Acid. Dna is a molecule which all chromosomes in the nucleus are made of. The shape of DNA is known as double helix, which looks like a twisted ladder. In DNA you can find 46 chromosomes or 23 pairs. 23 chromosomes come from each parent making the sequence of the 23 chromosomes in the "daughter cells" unique. When you break down the genetic code you wil find nitrogen bases. The nitrogen bases are like words in a code. DNA has 4 letters in its code that make up the nitrogen bases, adenine(A), thymine(T), cytosine(C), and guanine(G). These letters are arranged as a code. When the code is put together they form a "story". The DNA "stories" are genes. The genes are what makes up your characteristics. Such as hair colour, eye colour, shape of face, and lenght of nose.
